Your data is yours. We treat it that way.

This Privacy Policy describes how Illuminated Intelligence, Inc. ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our small business intelligence platform and related services (together, the "Services"). This policy is written in plain English. The legal version is available on request.

Information we collect

We collect three categories of information. Account information you provide when you sign up — name, email, company name, billing address, and payment method. Customer data from the integrations you connect — your QuickBooks, Shopify, HubSpot, and other connected source data, processed and stored on your behalf so we can deliver the Services. Usage data such as which pages and features you use inside the platform, which is used solely to improve the product and provide support.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the Services, generate the dashboards and AI insights you request, communicate with you about your account and product updates, process payments, and improve the platform. We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising. We do not use your private business data to train any AI model — see our security page for details.

Subprocessors and AI providers

We use a small number of carefully vetted subprocessors — primarily Google Cloud Platform and AWS for infrastructure, Stripe for billing, SendGrid for transactional email, and Anthropic + OpenAI for AI model inference. All AI providers operate under zero-retention agreements that prevent your data from being stored or used to train models. The current subprocessor list is published in our trust center.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete the personal information we hold about you. EU residents have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

Data retention

We retain customer data for as long as your account is active. You can export your data at any time and permanently delete your workspace from your account settings — once deleted, data is purged from our production systems within 7 days and from backups within 30 days. We retain anonymized usage analytics indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of first-party cookies to authenticate you, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate product usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings — disabling them may impact the functionality of the Services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and a banner inside the platform. The "last updated" date below indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
